We Have a Winner!

Pretty, ain't it?

Time gets away from me occasionally, and when I looked at the calendar today I realized I’m 2 days late with this month’s drawing. So I wrote out the tickets post haste!

This month’s winner is Kathy T, from Duluth. (Yaay! One I won’t have to mail!) We’ve been talking about having dinner together for about 6 months now, so maybe this means we will actually do it. Kathy and I went to the same high school here in Duluth, and then worked together for many years. A couple of Catholic girls in publishing. Imagine.

Congratulations, Kathy!

I don’t have a photo of Kathy, but I imagine she is doing this right now:

Here’s the drawing bowl for this month, which was part of a very special birthday present from a very special person. A person who thinks auction junk is beneath his dignity. Ha, I say.

So Kathy, the snow has melted, you’re back from your cruise, we’re both over our colds, so let’s go to lunch. Or dinner. And shopping at Savers!

The fun we’ll have!

Speaking of fun, there are 6 mailing boxes left in my collection, so sign up now to be in on the drawing. You can win twice, so if you ever registered, you’re still in the game. Leave a note here, or send me an Email at pjackson@pattjackson.com. Good luck! The boxes are F-U-N.

You spelled my name wrong on the slip. It’s “Cathy D”, not “Kathy T” Looks like those new glasses you got don’t work.

  2. Patt says:

    Oh, my.
Maybe you will get a lovely consolation prize in two weeks!?

I will be happy to donate 6 more mailing boxes if that will keep the drawings going longer. That of course means you will have to visit many more auctions this summer to keep the supply stocked :) It also increases my chances of being a repeat winner.

  4. Cathy says:

Two weeks! I am so excited.

Beneath my dignity? I don’t think so. Last time I checked (around 1982, I think) there was NO dignity left.
And, it has been so ever since.
    Nice bowl, though.

  6. Patt says:

Rick, that’s just the way I like my men.

Not much chance I’d ever run out of auction stuff. It’s harder to find the boxes that I use! Went to an auction last Saturday, and am going this weekend, too. A gal can never have too much auction stuff.

I believe her name ins Karen T.

I received a great box of things this week. Having a good time looking at it. There is a Memoriam card for a pilot who died during WW II. Found on the internet he is buried in France. Love the history of objects.

Kathy, I do, too. (Love the history of objects.) I guess that’s why my house is filled with other people’s stuff. Some day I will loan you the WW2 diary of a sailor from Minnesota. Simple writing, but a good story emerges! (With a happy ending, it seems.)
